Marjorie E. Crist, Esquire
Attorney Marjorie E. Crist was born and raised in Mt. Lebanon, Pennsylvania. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in political science at Indiana University, Bloomington, Indiana in 1988. In 1992, she earned her Juris Doctor from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law where she was an editorial board member of The Law Review and an award winning moot court competitor. She was awarded best oral advocate in the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law National Communications and Entertainment Law Competition in New York City. Upon graduation, Pitt's faculty honored her by selecting her and 9 other classmates for membership into the Order of the Barristers for "demonstrating excellence in written argument and oral advocacy."
Throughout her career, Attorney Crist has dedicated her practice to representing clients in courtrooms and agency forums in Pennsylvania. She is admitted to practice in Pennsylvania, as well as the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania and U.S. Third Circuit Court of Appeals. Attorney Crist's practice areas include civil litigation, domestic relations, real estate including assessment appeals, estate planning, debtor rights and, most recently, oil and gas landowner representation.
Prior to starting her own practice, Attorney Crist built and developed her skills as a litigator with some of the top attorneys and firms in the area. In the 1990's, as a young associate in the employment and labor department of Eckert Seamans and then with the labor and employee rights firm of Healey Davidson & Hornack, she represented both management and employees in discrimination, unemployment, wage and hour disputes and worker's comp matters developing a knowledge of strategies used by both sides of the employment table. Later on as a longterm senior associate with Orie & Zivic she litigated a wide range of civil cases from personal injury matters to multi million dollar commercial disputes. Attorney Crist formed Crist Law Center with a vision of providing the high quality, yet affordable, legal services to clients.
In developing Crist Law Center, LLC, her practice narrowed in on specific areas most local individual families may have a need for and which her many years of experience touched. Therefore, the practice offers legal representation and counsel for civil disputes, domestic relations, estate planning, real estate/property assessments, and oil and gas landowner representation.
Attorney Crist resides in Mt. Lebanon with her family and is active in local and national organizations including the Mt. Lebanon PTA and the March of Dimes campaign to prevent premature birth. In 2012, Crist Law Center will proudly enters its fourth season as a sponsor of a Mt. Lebanon Girls Softball League team.
